IOScans connects with 3Shape, DS Core, DEXIS, and Medit, with UP3D, PandaCloud, and iTero coming soon. Cases from your connected portals appear in one continuously refreshed list, newest first.
For dental labs, that means seeing cases from your doctors across multiple scanner systems in one place. For practices, it means viewing your own cases across connected scanners.
Instead of checking each portal separately, your team has one place to see what has arrived and what needs attention.
Find the Case and Read the Prescription
Search by patient name or ID, see the sending clinic, and filter cases by practice. Dentists can also filter their cases by receiving lab.
Open a case to review available prescription details:
- Restoration type and tooth numbers
- Material and shade
- Due date and case notes
Tooth numbers are displayed in Universal numbering, helping your team read cases consistently across scanner systems. Labs can also see cases mapped to their own restoration categories, such as crowns.
Download Files Without the Extra Steps
When you are ready to work on a case, download it as a clean ZIP containing STL or PLY files. IOScans unpacks archives and converts supported proprietary mesh formats as part of the download process.
Some scanner portals require accepting a case before its files become available. Where that applies, IOScans explains the consequence first and handles acceptance as part of the download.
It is a simpler handoff from receiving the scan to getting the files your team needs.
Know Who Already Downloaded a Case
A shared inbox is more useful when everyone can see what has already been handled.
IOScans tracks downloads by team member and separates downloaded cases from new arrivals. Your staff can see who pulled a case without asking around or downloading the same files again.
Built with Patient Information in Mind
IOScans uses encrypted connections and databases, and a Business Associate Agreement is part of signup.
Scan files stream through the service to your download without being stored by IOScans. Patient-identifying metadata is automatically removed 30 days after collection, with a maximum of 60 days including encrypted backups.
IOScans serves as your working inbox for reviewing and downloading cases. Your scanner portals remain the system of record for those cases.
